This week at the Fruitnet Tropical Congress held on June 24 in Antwerp, we joined the industry leaders from around the world gathered to explore the future of the exotic fruit sector. Among the highlights of the event was a keynote presentation by Marco de Jong, our CEO and founder of Experience Fruit Quality as part of the prestigious agenda.
The congress highlighted both the growth potential and the key challenges of the tropical fruit industry. While emerging markets and changing consumption trends open exciting opportunities, ensuring quality and consistency across the supply chain remains a major challenge.
Marco’s session was one of the most important points of the day. He shared valuable expertise and research on the ripening of exotic fruits: including avocados, mangoes, and bananas. He introduced RipeWise, the latest technological innovation from Experience Fruit Quality and De Laat Koudetechniek’s collaboration.
Following the onboarding of our first clients, participating at this event marked another great milestone for our innovation RipeWise and Experience Fruit Quality team.
