Fruit sensors that read the fruit
RipeWise Sensors
RipeWise sensors measure the fruit itself. The Ripetapper tracks firmness in avocado and mango, while our colour and temperature sensors read banana colour and pulp temperature — objective data from inside the room, without opening a single box.

Banana sensors
Colour and temperature sensors for bananas
Bananas ripen on colour and pulp temperature — so that is exactly what we measure. Nine colour and temperature sensors per ripening room read the fruit continuously, replacing the manual, subjective colour check at the box with objective data from inside the room.
- Nine colour and temperature sensors per ripening room
- Continuous colour measurement replaces subjective manual checks at the box
- Banana pulp temperature tracked in real time
- Objective readings from inside the room, without opening a single box
Fruit sensor
The Ripetapper for avocado & mango
The Ripetapper taps the fruit gently and measures its firmness — a non-destructive reading that works exactly the same for avocado and mango. Eight Ripetappers hang in every ripening room and follow the fruit throughout the cycle, so ripeness is visible without cutting a single piece of fruit open.
- Eight Ripetappers per ripening room measure firmness throughout the cycle
- One sensor platform for both avocado and mango
- No more cutting fruit open to judge ripeness
- Every tap is sent straight to the RipeWise software

Retrofit
Works in the rooms you already have
You do not need completely new rooms to put RipeWise to work in your ripening facility. We also retrofit existing ripening rooms, so the sensors and software start measuring and controlling in the rooms you already run today.
No new construction
RipeWise runs in the ripening rooms you already have — no new rooms and no new building are needed.
Fitted to existing rooms
Sensors are mounted in rooms already in use, alongside your current setup.
Start room by room
Retrofit a single room first and expand at your own pace across the ripening facility.
Retro fit
We also look at what else can be updated
Before we start, we map the sensors and applications already present in your ripening facility and check which of them can be updated or connected next to the RipeWise software and fruit sensors. What still earns its keep stays in use — what can be improved gets improved.
- Sensors already in your rooms that can stay in use or be upgraded
- Applications around the ripening process that can be updated or connected
What it does
Purpose-built for better control
Non-destructive by design
No more cutting fruit open to judge ripeness, so far less fruit is lost to destructive checks.
Continuous data stream
Every measurement is sent to the software as it happens, so ripening progress is visible in every room.
Built for the ripening room
Every sensor is designed for the humid, cold and demanding conditions inside a ripening room.
Standalone value
A complete solution in its own right
RipeWise Sensors can be introduced independently and connected to the wider ecosystem when your operation is ready.
- Objective ripeness data instead of subjective manual assessment
- Non-destructive measurement removes the waste of destructive checks
- Ripening progress visible in real time, room by room
- Far fewer physical checks and less pallet movement during the cycle
- Sensors built for the demanding ripening room environment
Additional power in combination
Stronger as part of the loop
Technology connection
